We have just spent a week at this lovely resort, the rooms are quite basic but excellent for what we wanted as a base near Sorrento, the standard of cleanliness was fantastic, plenty of clean sheets and fresh towels, the staff are all very friendly, helpful and were willing to help if we needed advice about the area. We would certainly go back here again as it was very peaceful and relaxing Thank You very much for a lovely stay.
“Lovely resort, small and friendly with a great pool”
Esperidi was a great base only five minutes walk to the station with a local bus stop opposite and well placed for a stroll for eating out locally. With a wonderful family restaurant right next door, we were spoilt for choice on eating out and enjoyed the best of both self catering for our breakfast and lunch with good value options for evening meals.[...] the standard of the complex, buildings and pool were fantastic. The tranquil gardens full of lemon and lime trees ensured everyone has their own space. Staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating and the combination of hotel standard attention to cleaning, towel change and service made this a brilliant option for us. We would not hesitate to recommend this resort to others. We had a wonderful time exploring this area of Italy !

“A beautiful place for our honeymoon”
Esperidi was the perfect accommodation for our honeymoon. The little apartments were so quaint. The rooms were clean and the staff were very friendly and happy to help at all times. They made our honeymoon very special. The kitchen was adequate for a holiday kitchen and we enjoyed having our little terrace where we ate breakfast each morning. The only setback was the bathroom- the shower wasnt great and it was a little bit grimy.
The pool area wasn't too busy and was kept clean. The sun beds were lovely. Jackie Hall bar was gorgeous as was the pool bar. Reasonably priced. The resort was fairly quiet and had a quiet time in the afternoon for a couple of hours which suited us. The cookery school on site is also well worth booking into.
There were bus and train links locally to Sorrento, Pompeii and Naples although we walked into Sorrento most days which only took around 30mins. We would definitely stay here again if we were to return to Sorrento!

“Great alternative to hotel or apartment”
We stayed for 9 nights at this resort at the end of June/beginning of July in a Junior Suite, which had a bathroom, dining area, kitchenette (behind a roll back door) and separate bedroom. There is also a small outdoor area with table and four chairs + clothes horse. I would say that the bungalows on site looked very small in comparison.
At first glance I was a bit disappointed as it looked a bit dated and smelled a bit musty, but then I got over myself and said I'm here to relax and not look for faults. I will however say that the tv in number 38 has no reception and that there was annoying gardening work being done in the garden beside the pool, so most days you could hear the strimmer going for hours. But I put on headphones and got over that too. The safe is too small to fit an iPad - however this is a very safe resort, so there was no issue leaving it in the room.
We had everything we could need in the kitchen and a good size fridge also. The cooker is a two ring gas cooker and they provide you with a box of matches. There were plenty of pans, plates, glasses etc. For making coffee, they provide a stainless steel espresso maker. The only things that are missing are items to wash and dry the dishes. We bought washing up liquid for €1 in the supermarket and 2 cloths. I think the management should sell a small wash pack to residents (cloth, small bottle of washing liquid + scrubber) for a small price. Everyone would get it I think, for convenience.
The resort is a 35 minute walk from the centre of Sorrento and we walked it easily taking both route options, which is easy to follow on the map they will give you at reception. Once you get your bearings you can take the local bus either (from the plaza in Sant Agnello) - get your tickets on the bus (€1.40 I think?). We only took a taxi once - when we arrived at the port in Sorrento from Naples and that cost €22 to the resort.
The supermarket is a 5 minute walk from the resort - they will mark this on the map for you also. This is a decent supermarket (not the usual small resort rip-off ones). Here you can get a decent bottle of wine for €1.80 or a really good Verdicchio for €3.99. There is plenty of freshly cooked bread available in the supermarket also, as well as the usual items you will need.
There are restaurants and cafes nearby if you don't want to head into town.
The pool area is very nice. The cost of hiring a towel is €3 per person per day or €10 for the week. I found this out before I left, so purchased some cheap towels to bring with us. The pool bar serves beer (€4), wine (€4), prosecco (€3) or a bottle of prosecco/wine (€12). They also serve coffee (€2.50) and assorted soft drinks. They serve a small range of food like toasted sandwiches and salads i.e. - you would not really plan to have a big lunch there.
If you have booked to stay here, you will really have a lovely time. I would definitely return again.

“3rd time in a row and we will be back again!”
This was our 3rd stay at Esperidi and it was wonderful as always. We stayed in Junior Suite 40 as requested as we were in this room last year. We were delighted to get the same room again. As always the staff are wonderful, the gardener is very friendly, the maids were wonderful especially Antonella and Pasquale at the pool bar is great.
The place is gorgeous and set around beautiful gardens with lemon trees. It has a wonderful pool area, nice bar area and is wonderfully located in the gorgeous town of Sant'Agnello.
We love staying here as it is so peaceful but unfortunately during our 2 weeks stay there were 2 large wedding parties (at separate times). The first wedding party were extremely loud and were shouting around the pool area and loud at night. The second wedding party was much larger around 30 maybe and completely took over the pool area. On our last full day we were enjoying a peaceful morning sunbathing and then the wedding party all arrived at the pool taking every available sunbed. At one point the bride was standing over my bed talking to her family next to me. We ended up leaving the pool and went into Sorrento for the day to escape this. We have never experienced this in Esperidi, it is normally so peaceful which is why we go there. It's great that people choose to get married here, it is a wonderful place and I know that it's an exciting time however I just wish they had some consideration for other guests and weren't so ignorant.
This is not the hotels fault as there is only so much they can do and it certainly hasn't put us off going here, we can't wait to go back!! See you next year again!!

“Lovely accommodation just outside Sorrento”
We stayed here at the end of June and booked a bungalow with en suite facilities and a studio apartment with a kitchenette. We were travelling with our teenage sons and stayed for 6 nights. We had our studio upgraded to a 1 bedroom apartment with a large bathroom as the resort was full. It never felt like it was, it was very peaceful. It was much better than staying in a hotel or apartment as we had our own outside space with furniture. Although we were self catering, the rooms were cleaned daily. The pool is lovely, very clean and quiet, and there were always sunbeds. We had afew issues, but the staff were very attentive and sorted them out very quickly. As far as location, it's about a 40 minute walk to the centre of Sorrento, which was very busy. There are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. There is also car parking on site, but the station is only a 5 minute walk. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to visit this part of the world. We had a car and manged to visit Vesuviius, Pompeii, Sorrento and Positano. There is a good beach club about 5 minutes walk which costs 10euros for a sunbed.

Grazie.

"Great location close to the sea"
Nice resort, close to the sea and was a quiet and charming place. The restaurant that was suggested by them for dinner was really good and the house wine was perfect. Spacious rooms and adequate breakfast. Will stay there again.
Ashymano, Roma - ottobre 2014

Esperidi Resort - "especial place"
We stayed at Esperidi in July 2014 in a bungalow in the grounds. 2 bedrooms, one with 3 single beds for our 3 children and another for my wife & I; in between the two bedrooms is a living/ dining / kitchen.
Of 5 accommodations on our journey around Italy this was voted favourite by all of us. The children liked their room with plenty of space and loved the swimming pool and breakfast - they had room to wander instead of being confined by small hotels/ B&B. Mum loved the space and the facilities - washing machine on site ! And I could relax because everyone was happy ! Also very good breakfasts and very friendly staff. RECOMMENDED

3 settimane volate!!!!
Ci torneremo sicuramente

"Great for families"
We have just returned from a one week stay in this lovely, quiet resort - we are 2 adults and 2 kids aged 7 & 5.
I will start by saying that I was filled with trepidation before my holiday having read some of the less positive reviews on this site but on arrival all my fears melted away ... the place was gorgeous!
On arrival we were shown to bungalow 5/6, a one bedroom apartment with a sleeping arrangements in the dining/kitchen room so it felt more like a 2 bed. Situated next to the reception are the accommodation was bright, clean and nicely decorated - the white walls and high ceilings refreshing and the bathroom well appointed. The air con was great in both bedrooms and I liked the shutters on the windows for extra security and light reduction.
The pool area was fantastic, very quiet, clean and picturesque surrounded by greenery and the vista of mountains. Kids and adults enjoyed this area and the food & drinks served pool-side were very reasonably priced. Near the pool there was an area for laundry which we did not use but thought it was a good facility for those on a longer stay. Again this area was spotless.
Though it was the height of the season - mid- August and occupation was high the resort was very peaceful throughout our stay. There was no noise to disturb the tranquil setting amongst the lemon trees. The staff were very nice and accommodating at all times but were in no way intrusive.
Staying on a B&B basis we enjoyed a very nice breakfast each morning - a selection of beverages, hot and cold, meats, cheeses, breads, cakes, cereals and toast with a variety of spreads - all self service. Breakfast times were very good - we ate at 7am on our day of departure but mostly around the 10am mark and we never felt rushed. The restaurant and bar area were very bright and nicely decorated with a lovely relaxing ambiance.
One concern I did have before arrival was the distance from Sorrento Centre but we soon learned that a regular bus stopped just outside the resort which took only minutes and we also travelled by train - which was also took only a matter of minutes.
We also soon found that we were glad of the quiet location which allowed our family to experience village life while also having the choice to go into the town, which we did almost every day, such was the convenience. However, we mostly ate locally at night, in a lovely restaurant just minutes walk away. One tip here is to avoid taxis - we were charged €30 one evening from Sorrento centre - a mere €1.20 by bus and a 5 minute trip!
If you like the beach, then it too is 2 minutes walk away & accessible via elevator, situated below the cliff - it was nice but we preferred the pool for convenience.
This is our 3rd time in Sorrento, but our first since having children and we would return in a heartbeat - it is a much better option that the traditional hotel when you have young kids, allowing a feeling of home from home.
In conclusion we would gladly return to this resort and would happily recommend it for a family stay - the 1 bed apartment was more that adequate for us as 2 adults and 2 young children. The kids loved it too so once they were happy we were too!
Would highly recommend a boat trip to Positano - & bring your swimsuit as the beach is amazing!

"Good for those on a budget"
We stayed here for five night and it worked well for us as we were travelling on a budget. We upgraded to one of the suites and this was a smart move as they have bigger bathrooms and a lounge/kitchen area. The suites were basic but comfortable and clean. We were offered free breakfast which was useful - it's not massively varied through the week and if you get there towards the end of the breakfast slot then they usually haven't replenished certain items. The pool area is excellent - loads of sun loungers and the pool is a good size and didn't seem overly busy despite the sunny weather while we were there. The staff are all very helpful (we dealt with Sylvie who was great). If you don't mind a walk, then you can walk to the centre of Sorrento in about 15-20 minutes. It's also easy to walk up to Sant Agnello (5 minute walk) and get a train (pretty regular, at least 2-3 each hour) to Sorrento (which takes only a couple of minutes).
We had our first family holiday (2 Adults and 2 Children 2yrs) here and it was amazing. We stayed in one of the villas and it was all we could of asked for and more; modern, clean and safe. All the staff were friendly and always willing to help. Great Pool area and we had breakfast there one day which was very nice (only continental breakfast). Information that may help: A very handy bus stop across the road from hotel. We caught the bus from there every day to Sorrento. Train station and supermarket 5min walk away. Only one con, the free Wifi is only in public areas. Overall a great family resort, which we will visit again and great base to explore Sorrento.

“Amazing family stay”
This resort was amazing value for money especially for a family. Lots of green grass space and fantastic pool area. 5 mins walk to train station and bus stop just across the road. Easy access to Sorrento, pompei, positano, capri we did it all in a week. Friendly and helpful staff, overall a great experience I would also highly recommend the restaurant next door the food and service was great!

“Stunningly pretty resort”
Esperidi Resort Village, simply put, is an absolutely fantastic place to stay. The staff were very welcoming upon our arrival and were very helpful informing us about local services and transport etc. The site itself is stunning. There are plenty of small green areas of grass as well as a multitude of palm and citrus trees, which really gives the place a beautiful, peaceful and natural feel. The accommodation buildings are all very presentable and are not "squeezed together", so you have plenty of private space. The pool is a very good size and offers plenty of sun loungers in the sun, and also plenty of seating in a shaded canopy area. There's a poolside bar where you can get snacks and drinks if needed. During July and August the pool stays open til 7pm, but it closed at 6pm whilst we were there in June. During June it was very relaxing - great for soaking up some sun and reading your book! We stayed in a self-catering apartment which was truly lovely. There's a very comfortable lounge area with a small TV, a serviceable kitchenette, a shower room and separate bedroom. The kitchen wasn't quite the easiest to cook in because the gas hob was either off, 90% on or 100% on, so pasta wanted to boil over all the time. The oven/grill was also quite small but served our purposes perfectly for holiday cooking. We thought the mattress was quite hard but I guess this is personal taste. The rooms were blissfully air conditioned - perfect for summer! The location of the resort is great too. Just a 5 minute walk from the local supermarket and train station to get to Sorrento/Napoli etc. If you want to walk to Sorrento it will take ~25 minutes. Also, there's a beach just 5 minutes walk away but we didn't think it was great and it was expensive (unless you want to sit on concrete all day). If you have the patience, the beach at Positano is MUCH better and is very cheap to get to on the bus (tickets can be bought from Bar Jolly near the train station). The trains to Pompeii and Herculaneum are very cheap and are the best way to get there if you aren't fussed about a guided tour. If we ever come back to the Sorrento area we would stay here again without a seconds thought!

“It's worth visiting!”
We' re really glad to have spent 8 days at Esperidi Resort. Its location is fairly convenient for tourists who don't mind walking 15 minutes to the beach. The railway station and supermarkets are even nearer. The hotel swimming-pool is well-equipped and free, the limoncello gardens are peaceful and beautiful. As for the accommodation, ours was a self-catering apartment which proved to be spacious, clean and tidy. Perhaps, it lacked in some useful kitchen things: a table-cloth, a chopping board, a tin-opener etc. But on the whole, the impression was very pleasant. The staff was well-trained and respectful. We'd like to single out the receptionist Sylvie Malis. In fact, she was something special. That smart, friendly, open-hearted girl managed to settle all our problems very efficiently and in no time. Besides, her advanced knowledge of English made our communication still more enjoyable. We hope to visit this wonderful place some day again. Ekaterina and Andrey, teachers from Moscow, Russia.
“Beautiful location, walking distance to railway”
We stayed there in May this year for 6 days. It is about 15 minutes walk easy walk from Sant Angello railway station which connects you with Naples, Pompey and Sorrento. As mentioned a beautiful location in an old lemon and orange orchard. Rooms are very adequate, we had cooking facilities, not sure if all rooms do. The bathroom was small but they all are in Italy. The lady we met on arriving could not have been more helpful. She gave us many tips on finding our way around. The pool is fabulous, we had it all to ourselves to do the morning laps before picking a few lemons to help with the liver cleansing. While there do yourself a favour and catch the local bus from Sorrento railway station to Nerano Beach, one of the few free beaches.
''Beautiful settings in a lovely location''
The Esperidi Resort is a fantastic place to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings made of typical Mediterranean flora. The smell of orange flowers is inspiring, the taste of the fruit is even better. The position of the resort is great, far enough from the noisier Sorrento, but very close to its amenities and facilities. A truly naturally beautiful place with an outstanding staff that will do anything to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. Bellissimo!
